AWARD-WINNING Medical Devices, Innovation & Technology

Patents

Among the more than a dozen issued patents and a dozen pending patents by the US Patents and Trade Mark Office (USPTO), the significances of the inventions in the medical devices’ diagnostic and monitoring are:

  • The nanopore structured biomimetic electrochemical sensor (US 8,083,926). This patent became the most cited nano-biomimetic sensor patent according to www.google.com

  • Dr. E. Chen’s invented patent had enlisted by www.faqs.org on March 8, 2010, as the ranking #12 of the Top 100 Inventors in the World.

  • Our issued patent portfolio shows the nano-biomimetic electrochemical device has a biosensing and energy storage dual function and is capable of reliably detecting a single cancer cell in biological specimens (US 8,083,926, US 8,641,876, US 9,534,999).

  • Our issued patent portfolio shows mem-transformer, memristors, and memcapacitors comprised of the crosslinked organic polymer formed nanostructure biomimetic membranes that have dual biosensing functions to directly detect the biomarker beta-amyloid that affects the reentry energy change in aj/bit/nM. The device detects 3D dynamic neuronal circuitry change from an asymptomatic stage I to a late-stage IV. The Pathological High-Frequency Oscillation (PHFO) in a spatiotemporal contour map detected is clinically beneficial. The PHFO distributions in an energy-sensory image are helpful to medical doctors. (US10,684,244, US 10,441,169).

  • Our issued patent portfolio shows the first room-temperature Josephson toroidal vertex quantum superconductive/memristive devices detected collagen protein in a quantum manner at zero-bias potential, that avoided protein -interference. Furthermore, quantized conductivity values are proportional to the protein’s concentrations was demonstrated. (US 11,079,354).

  • Our issued patent portfolio shows toroidal array devices comprised of cross-linked organic polymers formed nanostructured biomimetic membrane direct and reagent-free detects the presence of endotoxin LPS in a single E. Coli and detects Acetyl CoA with a DOL 37 fM. (US 11,041,843).

  • The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued a new patent US 11/708,595 in the title of Nanostructured Biomimetic Protein Superconductive Devices of Making and Its Multiple Applications Thereto on July 25, 2023.

  • A patent application of US 17/364,348 received an Allowance Notice by the USPTO on January 23, 2024 in the title of Nanostructured Model Devices of Making and Applications in Monitoring of Energy Landscapes of Toxic Protein Refolding Thereto.

Invitations

  • Dr. Chen was invited by the American Chemical Society (ACS) to give an oral presentation of the Nanobiomimetic Reagent-free Sensing of the Triple-negative Breast Cancer in the ACS annual conference on August 19-23, Philadelphia, 2012

  • Montgomery College Spectrum Lecture Series to Feature Dr. E. Chen’s presentation in the title of Development of Biomimetic Diagnostic Services on February 15, 2012
