A new patent titled "Nanostructured Model Devices of Making and Applications in Monitoring of Energy Landscapes of Toxic Protein Refolding Thereto" will be granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on September 10, 20-24. We received the patent issue notification on August 21, 2024, with the patent number US 12,085,531.
We are pleased to introduce an innovative nanostructured energy sensing and monitoring device. This device employs a specialized membrane containing active sites of Heat Shock Proteins (HSP) cross-linked with conductive polymers on an electrode to effectively monitor alterations in the energy landscape induced by the toxic protein β-amyloid (Aβ). Additionally, a novel approach utilizing a moonlighting protein network has been developed, enabling the restoration of reversed membrane potential (RPM) in the presence of antibiotic drugs, which does not depend on the drug concentration change in 6 level dosages. This method has demonstrated an impressive 97.3% capability in restoring impaired Aβ refolding with a remarkable imprecision of 0.05%. This innovative technology offers a method in the advancement of research and development in the early-stage Alzheimer’s diagnosis and monitoring.
